Accepting crypto with Flowgate is quick, simple, and works the same way on both our app and devices. Here’s how the process looks step by step:
1. Start a new payment
Open the Flowgate App and tap “New Payment.”
2. Enter the amount
Type in the amount you want to charge in EUR (or another supported currency).
3. Hand the device to your customer
Your customer chooses the cryptocurrency and the wallet they’d like to pay with.
4. Authentication
In certain situations, the Crypto Provider may request additional details from the customer. Below is an overview of how this process works:
→ A QR code is shown on the screen.
→ The customer scans it with their phone camera and [after redirection] fills in the required details.
→ Once the form is completed successfully, Flowgate automatically updates the payment terminal device interface.
💡 If the payer is already registered and verified on flowgate.tech, they can select “I have an customer account” and skip filling in the details.
5. Payment waiting transaction
Once ready, Payment QR code appears on the screen.
The customer simply scans it with their Wallet Camera, and their wallet app opens automatically with the correct amount and address pre-filled.
6. Payment confirmation [need to be updated]
After the customer confirms in their wallet, Flowgate shows “Payment Completed” on the screen.
Depending on which crypto provider you’re using, you may receive a confirmation email after a successful payment.
If needed, tap Show e-receipt on the terminal — it will display a QR code. By scanning it with their camera, the customer will be taken to a page with electronic receipt.
